To the CAST Community

Happy New Year! As we wrap up another great year at CAST, I can’t help but reflect on the impact this organization has made this year—we’ve shared so many great conversations, meaningful conference connections and in-classroom experiences.

This year was especially exciting for the return to in-person programming in 2022, and CAST’s new approach to meeting the needs of our domestic and international audience by adapting a fully-remote organizational structure.

After the disruption of the past few years, we are grateful for any opportunity that allows us to come together (virtually or in-person) and create new connections with our CAST community. As CAST prepares for a very exciting 40th anniversary celebration in 2024, we can’t help but reflect back on some of the many CAST highlights from this year (take a look at just a few!).

• We partnered with the “Choose Love” program to improve social and emotional learning in New Hampshire prisons
• Since the start of 2022 our Technical Assistance team has flown over 33,000 miles and driven over 1,500 miles to meet with our state and district partners
• Clusive, our digital reading platform, gained new users while adding CAST’s flagship publication, Universal Design for Learning: Theory & Practice

We have started planning a very exciting spring and summer 2023 so stay tuned on ways to stay connected!
