Showcasing UDL Implementation Success with BCSC
CAST proudly highlights a leader in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) implementation—Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC). This comprehensive case study demonstrates how field-based research questions and best practices drive our understanding and implementation of UDL in education.
BCSC stands out as an exemplary model of UDL implementation, consistently applying UDL principles as the central teaching and learning framework across their district. The UDL framework has been pivotal in fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
The collaboration between CAST and BCSC has created a mutually beneficial learning relationship, strengthening how UDL can support diverse learners. Over the course of their UDL journey, BCSC has achieved remarkable improvements in student academic performance, inclusion rates, and enhanced engagement for both students and teachers. These outcomes, coupled with the dedicated efforts of BCSC leaders and educators, showcase the power of UDL to be a catalyst for positive, system-wide change in education.
