The International Society for Technology in Education’s Inclusive Learning Network (ISTE-ILN) has announced that CAST’s Mindy Johnson will be honored with the group’s 2015 Outstanding Educator Award.
"Mindy embodies the vision and mission of our Network, which is enhancing opportunities for all learners through effective practices and technology resources," says ISTE-ILN member Elizabeth M. Dalton, PhD, Director of Development and Research at TECHAccess of Rhode Island. “She is always the first to volunteer to help, to take on a new idea or new effort, and to stick with an effort until it is carried out to fruition—and always at the highest level of quality."
“Mindy Johnson is a wonderful educator, colleague, and technology enthusiast,” says Lisa J. Poller, CAST’s Co-President. “She brings keen insights to CAST’s research and development work, with a special empathy for student and teacher perspectives. Mindy has also shown great leadership by leading CAST’s social media outreach and by forging connections with important organizations like ISTE. All of us at CAST sincerely congratulate Mindy for receiving this much deserved award.”
The award will be given June 29 at the 2015 ISTE Conference & Expo in Philadelphia.
