Niel Albero
Niel Albero is a Senior Professional Learning Specialist, working with school based teams to develop understanding around the UDL framework and customize their experience to their context.
As an educator for 20 years, Niel has worked in Special Education, Middle School Mathematics, and as an Instructional Coach. He is most passionate about Engaging all Learners and designing Learning Environments that reduce barriers for students.
Niel has led professional development workshops on reaching all learners, strategies to engage learners through classroom discourse, and mathematics content institutes.
When not at CAST, Niel enjoys cooking authentic Italian cuisine with his three sons and is an avid baseball fan. He strives to stay up-to-date on Newbury Award winning childrens’ books so he can connect with students and build their enthusiasm and love for reading.
