Using Technology to Teach a Diverse Student Population

Technology offers great promise if well integrated into classroom instruction. In this institute, you will become familiar with an array of technology tools, including free Web 2.0 tools, that support the development and implementation of curriculum (goals, methods, materials, and assessments) and that are accessible to ALL learners. The use of technology is guided by the three principles of UDL and is aimed at supporting well designed curriculum goals that reinforce high standards for all students. Participants will learn:

  • About Web 2.0 technologies that support the development of curriculum
  • How to take advantage of the new technologies to support student learning
  • How to develop lessons that integrate technology into the development of goals, methods, materials, and assessments
  • How to guide your choice of appropriate technologies that address the diverse needs and interests of today’s widely diverse classrooms

Who Should Attend: General and Special Educators, Instructional Technology Specialists, Curriculum Facilitators, and School-based Administrators
