As Director of Design, Lisa is responsible for planning and supervising the design of CAST’s universally designed learning environments, public facing websites, and organizational print collateral. With expertise in human-centered design principles and methodologies, she is passionate about enriching CAST led research prototypes through design-based research, a process through which iterative design cycles and interaction with students and teachers informs final design solutions. Lisa Spitz holds a B.A. in Psychology and Graphic Arts from Regis College, and a M.Des. in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University.  

Lisa's experience spans the corporate and nonprofit worlds. That work includes usability evalutation; interface design; original identity, logo, and web design; and print and multimedia pieces for businesses, public entities, and nonprofit organizations. Her previous work experience includes positions at Adaptive Environments, Fidelity Investments, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, and the American Institutes of Research.
